Formatting Requirements and Submission Procedure

When submitting an article to the editorial office, please note the following requirement: no more than one article by the same author (co-author) may be published in a single issue of the journal.
Articles by authors who do not hold an academic degree, as well as student articles, must be submitted in co-authorship with a scientific supervisor or accompanied by a signed written recommendation from the supervisor for publication.

General Conditions

  • The editorial board of the collection of scientific papers «Current Issues of Law: Theory and Practice» publishes authors’ articles on the Internet on the official website of the journal: https://journals.snu.edu.ua/?journal=app&page=index;
  • The journal accepts articles in Ukrainian and English;
  • Articles must comply with the requirements of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine for academic journals and the formatting requirements of the collection of scientific papers «Current Issues of Law: Theory and Practice»;
  • The editorial board has the right to carry out scientific and literary editing of submitted materials without changing their content or the author’s scientific position;
  • The editorial board reserves the right to reject an article that does not meet the established requirements or the journal’s scope;
  • Within one week after receiving the article, the editorial board informs the author by email about the acceptance of the article for publication in the journal.
  • Articles in the journal are checked for plagiarism using specialized software.

Submission Procedure

To consider the publication of an article, it is necessary to complete the online application form on the journal’s website and send to the email address lawfacultyeunu@gmail.com:
- completed online application form;
- the article (file name – Ivanenko_article);
- signed written recommendation of the scientific supervisor (if required).

FORMATTING REQUIREMENTS

Articles are accepted in Ukrainian and English, in A4 format, using Times New Roman font, size 11 pt, with 1.15 line spacing, paragraph indent 0.8 cm. Margins: top and bottom – 2 cm; left and right – 2.5 cm, in one column.
The total length of the article, including abstracts, tables, figures, and references, is 10–12 pages.
The article must be prepared in MS Word for Windows and consist of the following elements in order:

  • UDC index (left-aligned);
  • title of the article (placed two lines below, bold, uppercase, centered);
  • author’s surname and initials (placed one line below, centered, bold italic);
  • title of the article (placed two lines below, bold, uppercase, centered) in English;
  • author’s surname and initials (placed one line below, centered, bold italic) in English;
  • abstract in the language of the main text of the article and keywords (minimum length 1800 characters; placed three lines below, italic);
  • main text of the article (placed one line below): general presentation of the problem and its connection with important scientific and practical tasks (5–10 sentences); analysis of recent research and publications addressing the problem and relied upon by the author (up to 0.75 pages); identification of previously unresolved parts of the general problem to which the article is devoted, formulation of the purpose and objectives of the article (up to 0.5 pages); presentation of the main research material with full justification of the obtained scientific results; conclusions; prospects for further research in this area).

In-text references and citations are indicated by numbers in square brackets corresponding to the reference list, followed by page numbers, for example: [1, p. 34];

  • the reference list is provided after the main text and formatted according to the national standard of Ukraine DSTU 8302:2015 «Information and documentation. Bibliographic reference. General provisions and rules»;
  • transliteration of the reference list under the heading References (placed one line below);
  • abstracts and keywords in English. The English abstract must be extended (placed one line below, italic) with a length of at least 1800 characters, including keywords;
  • date of submission of the article for publication (placed one line below, italic);
  • surname and initials of the reviewer (placed one line below, italic).

The article must be accompanied by author information indicating full name (surname, first name, patronymic); academic degree, title, position, place of work; phone number; email address, ORCID. The information is provided in full, at the end of the article, without abbreviations, in one sentence separated by commas, in the same file as the article.
The authors are responsible for the accuracy of the facts, citations, figures, and names provided. By submitting materials to the editorial office, the authors consent to the publication of their articles in open access on the journal’s website.
The editorial board may not share the authors’ views.
