Abstract

The article examines the interaction between
international law and the protection of human rights
in the context of war crimes. It considers the historical
background, the evolution of international law and
human rights protection, and examples of their
interaction during armed conflicts. Current
challenges such as the fragmentation of the legal
framework, conflicting requirements between
international law and human rights, and cases where
the level of protection in one area may be lower than
in another are analyzed. Thematic studies are presented, including a detailed analysis of recent war crime cases and the application of international law in these cases. The prospects for development are analyzed, including the potential for closer alignment between international law and human rights protection and future implications for the protection of individuals during armed conflicts. The main findings and recommendations for improving human rights protection in the context of war crimes are summarized.

Keywords: international law, human rights, war crimes, international humanitarian law, human rights protection, armed conflicts.
