Smart technologies as components of modern urban planning

Abstract

In the presented work, the main features of the use  of modern smart technologies are considered, and their  relationship with modern urbanism is determined. Smart  technologies play a significant role in modern urbanism,  which is aimed at improving the quality of life of city  residents and optimizing the management of city  resources. That is why the purpose of the presented work  is the analysis of modern features of urban planning in  combination with the use of modern smart technologies  and the determination of their main essential role in  modern conditions of transformation. Smart technologies  can be used to create effective traffic management  systems, including traffic light synchronization, smart  parking, traffic monitoring systems, public transport  integration and the development of autonomous vehicles.  Smart technologies make it possible to implement  energy-efficient solutions in buildings and urban  infrastructure. This includes intelligent lighting, energy  management systems and the use of renewable energy  sources. The use of video surveillance, sensors and  analytics allows creating a safer urban environment.  Smart technologies can be used to detect and respond to  emergency situations, detect crimes and security threats.  Smart technologies help to optimize city management  processes, including electronic services, electronic  voting and convenient access to information for  residents. Connecting various objects to the Internet  allows you to create networks that provide data exchange  and automation. This can cover a variety of areas, from  waste and resource management to smart construction  and maintenance. Smart technologies can help create  cities that are more accessible to all population groups,  including people with disabilities. This may include the  development of smart spaces and interfaces to facilitate  the participation of every resident in urban life. Smart  technologies can be used to create environmentally  friendly cities, which includes the smart use of resources,  the collection and analysis of data on air and water  quality, and the development of green technologies for  construction and transportation. The use of Smart  technologies in modern urban planning contributes to the  creation of more efficient, safe and sustainable cities,  increasing the quality of life of residents and reducing the  impact on the environment.
