Procedure for publication of materials

General conditions:

 

  • The editors of the collection of scientific works "Topical issues of law: theory and practice" place the authors' articles on the Internet on the official website of the publication: https://journals.snu.edu.ua/?journal=app&page=index ;
  • The journal accepts articles in Ukrainian and English;
  • Articles must meet the requirements of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine for professional publications and the requirements of the collection of scientific works " Topical issues of law: theory and practice " regarding the design of articles;
  • The editorial staff of the magazine is authorized to carry out scientific and literary editing of materials;
  • The editors reserve the right to reject an article that does not meet the established requirements or the magazine's theme;
  • Within a week after receiving the article, the editorial office sends the author by mail information about the acceptance of the article for publication in the magazine.
  • Articles in the publication are checked for plagiarism using special software.

 

WARNING!

 

Students' articles are submitted in co-authorship with the scientific supervisor or upon providing the scientific supervisor's signed written consent (review) for publication.

No more than two articles from one author are accepted in one issue (one is a sole author, one is a co-author).

 

Conditions and procedure for submitting articles

To consider the publication of an article, it is necessary to fill out an online questionnaire on the journal's website and send it to the e-mail lawfacultyeunu@gmail.com:

article (file name – Ivanenko_article);

a scanned receipt for payment of the contribution for the publication (file name - Ivanenko _contribution).

 

The fee for publishing an article is 500 UA (for an article up to 12 pages long). If the volume of work exceeds the specified, the cost of an additional page is 40 UA.

Authors will receive details for payment of the publication fee after passing the mandatory internal anonymous review of scientific articles and checking them for plagiarism

 

Policy of academic integrity

 

Authors who submit materials for publication in the collection "Topical issues of law: theory and practice" agree that the article is written by them personally, has not been published anywhere before and was prepared specifically for this publication.

To ensure the principles of academic integrity, the editorial board determines the level of uniqueness of the author's text for all submitted materials using appropriate software.

Forms of plagiarism include:

- use (verbatim citation) of any materials in any volume without indicating the source;

- use of borrowed images, drawings, photographs, tables, graphs, diagrams or any other form of graphical presentation of information without reference to the source;

- use without written permission of materials whose authors or copyright holders prohibit the use of their materials without special agreement.

Forms of incorrect borrowing include:

- lack of graphic highlighting (in quotation marks) of verbatim quoted text in the presence of references to the source;

- incorrect reference to the source or incomplete composition of its bibliographic description, which prevents their identification;

- a reference not to the first source of the borrowed text without an explicit indication of this fact (an error in determining the original source);

- lack of references from the text to the sources listed in the reference list;

- excessive citation (in the presence of references to sources and graphic highlighting of the quoted text), the volume of which is not justified by the genre and goals of the article.

If there are incorrect loans, all cases of such loans are considered individually.

In the event that a proven fact of plagiarism is discovered in an article that has already been published, its authors are deprived of the right to be published in all subsequent issues of the collection, and the text itself is removed from the archive of the official website of the publication and from other places of public placement, for which the editors of the collection "Topical issues of law: theory and practice".

The editorial board of the collection in its activities to prevent plagiarism is guided by the Law of Ukraine "On Education", Methodical recommendations for institutions of higher education on supporting the principles of academic integrity (https://mon.gov.ua/storage/app/media/vishcha-osvita/2018 /10/25/recomendatsii.pdf) and the Regulation on Prevention and Detection of Academic Dishonesty at SNU.

The editors reserve the right to review, edit, shorten and reject articles. The author is responsible for the reliability of facts, statistical data and other information. The article submitted by the author must be the product of his own idea. Plagiarism in various forms is not allowed. The use of the works of other authors is possible only as a reference, quote, description, but not rewriting the work, borrowing ideas. When using information from other works, a mandatory reference to the author, his work, edition, year, page. Reprinting (republishing) of the publication's materials is permitted only with the author's and editor's permission.
