Abstract

The article analyzes the key skills, competencies,
and trends in the professional development of
employees in the context of modern digital
transformation. The authors emphasize that
digitalization fundamentally changes the labor
market, creating new challenges and opportunities. In
particular, it is highlighted that a successful "new type
of employee" must possess not only professional (hard
skills) but also flexible (soft skills), as well as digital,
cognitive, and socio-emotional skills. The transition
from the concept of "lifelong learning" to "career-long
learning" is underscored, indicating the necessity of
continuous professional development. Special
attention is devoted to the analysis of issues related to
legal regulation and motivation of employees'
professional development in Ukraine, as well as the
importance of supporting and reintegrating specific
social groups into the labor market, including
internally displaced persons (IDPs), migrants, and
war veterans. The conclusion is drawn that the
creation of adaptation programs providing necessary resources and support is a critical task for society and businesses, enabling veterans to successfully return to civilian life and contributing to the development of the national economy.
