The authority as a part of the competence and the legal status of public body

Abstract

The paper summarized and analyzed the theoretical and legal approaches to under- standing the essence of the concepts of «authority», «competence», «legal status» and their relationship. The author's definition of these concepts was proposed in the context of the positioning of public authority powers as a component of its competence and legal status.
