INTERNATIONAL LEGAL STANDARDS FOR THE FORMATION OF THE CORPS OF PROFESSIONAL JUDGES

Abstract

The article examines the international legal
acts of the United Nations, the Council of Europe,
and certain international associations of judges,
which determine the requirements and general
principles of formation of the judiciary. The basic requirements for candidates for a judge's position in accordance with international standards are determined. The principles of independence, impartiality, competence of judges in accordance with international norms are analyzed.
