SOME ASPECTS OF THE REFORM OF THE TERRITORIAL BODIES OF THE MINISTRY OF JUSTICE OF UKRAINE

Abstract

The bodies of Justice perform a
number of important functions to ensure the
implementation of state's legal policy. In the process
of formation of the modern system of bodies of
Justice, their status, structure, number of powers
have repeatedly changed. Since 2015, serious
optimization of the structure of the bodies of the
Ministry of Justice of Ukraine has begun. This reform
is done by optimizing the bodies of Justice in the
context of administrative-territorial reform. The
purpose of reforming the territorial bodies of the
Ministry of Justice of Ukraine is to optimize the
system of territorial bodies of the Ministry of Justice
of Ukraine, reduce state budget expenditures for
their work, expand access to electronic services of
the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine and free legal aid,
and improve it's quality.
Currently, scholars and legal practitioners
note the divergent understanding of the nature and
place of the bodies of Justice in the system of bodies
of executive power, the lack of effective results from
the reforms, in particular to achieve the goals and
objectives of the EU Project "Support to Justice
Reforms in Ukraine" which has ended in December
2017.
The article analyzes the peculiarities of
reforming the territorial bodies of the Ministry of
Justice of Ukraine, the features of Justice bodies, and
clarifies their significance, taking into account the
realities of today.
The normative bases of reforming the
territorial bodies of the Ministry of Justice of
Ukraine, the peculiarities of communication and interaction with partners, public organizations, legal
clynics at higher educational institutions and other subjects are analyzed.
