FEATURES OF LEGAL REGULATION OF CUSTOMS DECLARATION ON MARITIME TRANSPORT CONCERNING PASSENGER TRANSPORT

Abstract

The article explores the features of the legal
regulation of customs clearance in relation to international
passenger transport by sea, identifies the
general rules of customs authorities around the
world. Analyzed regulations that provide customs
clearance and control of ships, goods, passengers. It
is highlighted as an exceptional form of customs
control - personal inspection. It has been established
that the problem of imperfection of domestic legislation
today exists and needs to be updated, since today,
in addition to passenger traffic, cruise destination is rapidly developing and is very relevant, it requires a comprehensive study to develop simplified customs clearance for sea transport in this direction.
Sea passenger transportations have a priority among all types of activities of maritime transport, therefore they are subject to extraordinary customs clearance, but the approach should be loyal and unified with a reduction in time for both customs authorities and passengers and the sea crew, as this is appropriate and necessary for this transportation categories.
