Abstract

The relevance of the chosen topic is obvious,
as gender equality is one of the conditions for ensuring
social development. Society is facing new challenges
and opportunities that need to be used for
further development. Gender policy is one of the
priorities of the national domestic policy aimed at
improving people's lives. The study of this issue is
conditioned by the need to introduce state gender
policy as an important condition for the development
of a democratic society and the development of gender
equality, where equal access to information and
knowledge is provided to every citizen, enhancing the
possibilities of realizing their own potential, contributing
to social and personal development, improving
quality of life. for open and transparent government.
The purpose of the article is to: carry out a theoretical analysis of the concept of gender; to analyze the principles and mechanisms of state gender policy formation; provide a legal assessment of the implementation and consolidation of gender policy in Ukraine; analyze the state gender policy in Ukraine at local and regional levels; to characterize the existing legal problems of the development and implementation of gender policy in Ukraine; to develop proposals to improve the legal support for gender policy at the current stage.
