It has been established that the problem of legislative
regulation of customs procedures in maritime
transport is very urgent, requires a comprehensive
study to develop simplified, unified rules for customs
clearance in maritime transport. The foreign policy
of the state is aimed at joining the European Union and bringing domestic legislation into line with international norms and standards, therefore, the issue of solving systemic problems in the field of legislative regulation of customs procedures on maritime transport has attracted more attention than ever in Ukraine. This directly relates to the problem under study, because sea transport, operating mainly in the international sphere, requires legislative regulation at an appropriate level. Sea transportations are economically viable for the external activities of countries, they allow delivering goods from different continents, therefore, for this category of transport special conditions for customs clearance are needed.
