THE RIGHT OF PERSONS WITH DISABILITIES TO SOCIAL SECURITY: ANALYSIS OF NATIONAL AND INTERNATIONAL LEGISLATION

Abstract

The article compares the current legislation of Ukraine with the provisions of international social law regarding the right of persons with disabilities to social security. The establishment of the concept of disability in the national legislation, which provides for the obligation of the state to implement the measure of social protection in relation to a person with a disability, is established. The emphasis is on problematic issues regarding the order, conditions, criteria and moment of disability in order to regulate a number of essential issues. Some steps are proposed to improve the effective social policy of the state, which will ensure the availability and efficiency of the system of social standards and guarantees to meet the needs of this category of citizens.
