LEGAL REGULATION OF PART-TIME EMPLOYMENT: CURRENT STATUS AND PROSPECTS
Abstract
The article examines the norms of the current
legislation of Ukraine on issues of legal regulation of
part-time employment. The statistical data on the
peculiarities of the use of part-time employment and
the rates of its distribution are analyzed. The main
conceptual provisions concerning the delimitation of
the categories «part-time employment» and «partial
unemployment» are investigated. The main
provisions of the ILO Convention No. 175 «On
Working Under Part-Time» in 1994, ILO
Recommendations No. 182 «On Work in Part Time»
and 1994 Council Directive 97/81 / EC of December
15, were analyzed and highlighted. 1997 «On the
Framework Agreement on Part-time Employment».
Some aspects of the legal regulation of part-time employment are covered in the legislation of countries such as Great Britain, Brazil, Japan, France, whose influence has been reflected in the conclusions drawn at the end of the article.
