THE RULE OF LAW AS THE BASIS OF DEMOCRACY: IMPLICATIONS FOR UKRAINE IN THE AGE OF DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION

Abstract

The article examines various aspects of the perception and interpretation of the rule of law as a democratic safeguarding mechanism. The authors find that the modern rule of law doctrine is stable, but given the rapid development of digital technolo-gies, it needs to be transformed to meet the needs of modern information society. This paper reviews existing results of implementation of modern digital mechanisms and tools in justice and public admin-istration of Ukraine. The authors provide suggestions and recommendations on possible areas of strength-ening the integration of digital technologies into the sphere of public affairs to ensure the appropriate level of the rule of law.
