Abstract

The article examines the trends in the development of vocal techniques in the twentieth century. It is noted that during the twentieth century there was an active process of development of vocal pedagogical technologies and fundamentally new forms of teaching and education of singing voices were developed.
It is emphasized that the future vocalist should know the history of the development of vocal art, the formation and development of vocal schools and various original methods of vocal training, which began to develop actively in the twentieth century.
The author of the article notes that to understand the trends in the development of vocal art, it is important to understand the processes of vocal culture development in different countries.
The experience of vocal culture development in Western European countries such as Italy, France, Germany, as well as domestic experience is analyzed.
The author of the article notes that among the famous vocal teachers of the first half of the twentieth century, who influenced the development of the European vocal school, we should mention R. Dumagel, R. Füger, F. Schmitt, J. Gay, J. Stockhausen and others.
Explanation of the basic methodological principles of vocal training, which were developed in the first half of the twentieth century can be found in the works of V. Bagadurov "Essays on the history of vocal methodology" and I. Nazarenko "The Art of Singing".
It is substantiated that all the richness of the singing voice can be revealed only by a singer-musician, singer-artist who performs the vocal process consciously on the basis of certain theoretical knowledge of vocal methods and the history of vocal art. In the twentieth century, there was an active process of development of vocal techniques in different countries.
