Digital transformation of business process management systems at ukrainian enterprises

Abstract

The article examines the pressing issue of digital transformation in business process management systems within Ukrainian companies. In the face of rapid changes in the business environment, companies are forced to adapt to new technologies that impact both the technical aspects of business operations and consumer behavior. One of the key drivers of active digital technology adoption is fierce competition, which compels enterprises to seek new ways to optimize operations, improve efficiency, and reduce costs. Additionally, changes in legislative regulations require companies to comply with modern standards and implement digital solutions to ensure control, transparency, and efficiency in business processes. 

The study aims to analyze the characteristics of digital transformation in business process management in Ukraine, identify key challenges, and explore prospects for companies considering the adoption of new technologies. 

The article explores modern approaches to digital transformation, including the use of tools such as RFID tags, blockchain, voice assistants, cloud services, CRM systems, Business Process Management (BPM), and Robotic Process Automation (RPA). Particular attention is given to how digital technologies are actively reshaping marketing processes, enabling more effective customer engagement through personalized advertising campaigns and data analytics. Business process automation allows companies to reduce labor costs, accelerate task execution, minimize human errors, and improve the quality of products and services. 

The impact of digital transformation on logistics and supply chain management is also analyzed. The use of IoT solutions, big data analytics, and artificial intelligence helps companies enhance productivity, reduce costs, and optimize warehouse systems. In the financial and risk management sectors, the active adoption of digital solutions—particularly blockchain technologies—ensures enhanced security and transparency of financial transactions. 

However, along with the advantages of digital transformation, the article outlines the key challenges faced by Ukrainian companies. These include high implementation costs, the need for staff training, cybersecurity risks, and compliance with regulatory requirements for personal data protection. It is emphasized that effective management of digital changes requires a strategic approach and a comprehensive analysis of business needs. 

The article also provides examples of the use of digital solutions in Ukraine. Specifically, it examines the digital services of PrivatBank and Oschadbank, which actively integrate modern financial technologies to automate banking operations. The potential of Ukrainian IT companies developing competitive digital business solutions is also analyzed, with a focus on their ability to serve as alternatives to foreign counterparts.
