Cyber hygiene as a component of the occupational safety system in the educational process of a pedagogical higher education institution

The article examines the problem of ensuring cybersecurity and developing cyber hygiene in the educational process of pedagogical higher education institutions in the context of digital transformation. The relevance of creating a secure digital educational environment as an essential component of professional teacher training and the occupational safety system is substantiated.
The concept of “cyber hygiene” is clarified as an integrative personal characteristic that includes knowledge, skills, and abilities for safe behavior in the information environment.
The main cyber threats associated with the use of information and communication technologies in higher education institutions, particularly in the context of distance learning, are analyzed and substantiated as a component of professional risks within the occupational safety system. It is determined that effective data security requires a comprehensive approach combining technical, organizational, and pedagogical measures.
Special attention is paid to the development of digital competence of future teachers, particularly its component – cyber hygiene, which ensures readiness for safe professional activity in a digital educational environment. The expediency of considering cyber hygiene as an element of the professional risk management system and a component of occupational safety is substantiated.
The main pedagogical conditions for the formation of cyber hygiene are identified, including the integration of cybersecurity content into professional training, the use of practice-oriented teaching methods, and the creation of a secure educational environment.
The results of the study can be used to improve teacher training, develop educational programs, and ensure information security and safe working conditions in higher education institutions.
