Abstract

The article justifies the importance of managerial competence mastering of the higher education applicants. This provides opportunities and skills for the future specialist to make adequate decisions in appropriate situations, taking responsibility for certain activities, applying this knowledge, exercise administrative and managerial functions, change their status and role characteristics in the performance of assigned functional duties. Managerial competence is an important component and condition of general and pedagogical culture formation of higher education applicants as the highest qualification level specialists.
The authors disclosed the theoretical foundations the managerial competence of higher education applicants. Semantics of "managerial competence" is considered. It is proposed to consider the managerial competence of higher education applicants as the ability and readiness of the future specialist to effectively influence on the course (production, pedagogical, educational, etc.) of the process, to fulfill organizational tasks, to plan and predict the adoption of future own management decisions, as well as the ability to reflect, both personal and professional. Managerial competence has been investigated as an integral part of the professional competence of the future specialist. It is a system of internal resources necessary to organize the effective achievements of the personal and organization goals in accordance with professional activity. The implementations of main directions of managerial competence as the component of future specialist’s professionalism are highlighted. The components of managerial competence are analyzed. On the basis of the functional-analytical approach the components of the managerial competence structure of the higher education applicants are allocated, such as: socio-communicative, methodological, psychological-pedagogical, information, organizational, general culture is identified.
