The authors propose to apply the methods and techniques of problem-based learning in the process of studying the discipline "Social and communicative development of personality" and other professional disciplines in order to form social and communicative competencies. They describe the requirements for problem situations, their structure, main components, conditions for effective solution of problem situations (questions, tasks), the degree of complexity of problem situations, stages of problem solving and other features of solving problem situations of a professional or scientific research nature in classroom work with future specialists in social sphere; give specific examples of problem situations.
The authors prove that the use of problem situations in the process of the formation of social and communicative competence contributes to the activation of social interaction, first in the classroom, and then with partners of a different sociocultural environment. As a result, social and communicative competence has been formed that develops not only communicative skills, but also contributes to the development of competencies of social interaction, the development of creative skills of applicants within the competence paradigm of modern education.
