ART AS A FUNDAMENTAL COMPONENT OF AESTHETIC EDUCATION IN THE CONTEXT OF FORMATION OF CITIZEN’S PERSONALITY

This article discusses the role of art and aesthetic education in the formation of a highly moral and cultured citizen in the modern world. Artistic and aesthetic education is not only about learning through art, introducing and practising students' visions and abilities in the fields of music, architecture, painting, theatre and the like. Learning through art builds the personality of the learner as a part of society, a fundamental component of a whole nation, considering the multicultural nature of modernity. The article provides the definition of 'aesthetic consciousness', which is both an individual and social phenomenon, reflecting in its conotation the understanding of historical and cultural acquisition; the acceptance, correspondence and aspiration for the development of society, which contributes first of all to its intrapersonal and universal cultural growth. The article provides the definition of "citizen", which is defined as a person - a component of society with moral and cultural values, as well as an active creator of the future of this society. The question of formation of patriotic citizen-carrier of universal culture and values by means of art is analyzed, emphasizing that art is able to awaken the good and the best in a person. Relating with different types of art as cultural practices with reality, the article establishes its tasks in the formation of a citizen's personality, which include the development and formation of a creative-innovative approach to the phenomena of modernity, the development and formation of a personal and civic system of values, noting the possibility of creating a common "morally good" aimed at forming and conceptualizing of esthetically-conscious, cultural society.
