LEADERSHIP TECHNOLOGY IN THE CONDITIONS OF A GENERAL SECONDARY EDUCATION INSTITUTION

Abstract

The article clarifies the concepts of "leader", "leadership", "leadership potential". The central definition of the study is "leadership technology", which is interpreted by the author as a set of knowledge about leadership, its forms, concepts and styles, as well as the sequence of stages of formation and development of leadership potential. Leadership technology in this study is considered in the context of a modern general secondary education institution. Differences between leadership and leadership, leader and leader have been clarified. An analysis of the scientific and pedagogical literature on the problem has revealed that there are traditionally two forms of leadership: formal and informal. The following leadership styles are characterized: idealistic, instructive, sociable, democratic, ambitious and authoritarian. It was found that the concepts of charismatic leadership, transformational leadership and leadership in team management are considered effective in the educational institution. Priority leadership qualities have been identified. Among them: organizational skills, authority, activity, determination, self-confidence, assertiveness, willpower, sharp mind, developed sense of intuition, ability to cooperate, resistance to stress, ability to listen to others, to be a pleasant interlocutor, originality, reflexivity, psychological skills competently influence the situation in the team. It was found that the development of leadership potential in the heads of general secondary education institutions is impossible only through information, because it involves the appropriate attitude and behavior of the individual. Therefore, leadership development training programs should be practice-oriented. The main forms of leadership development are identified. An algorithm for the development of leadership potential in the heads of general secondary education institutions has been developed. Typical leader errors are synthesized.
