Abstract

The article is devoted to the study of the priority directions of movement and development of modern society under conditions of globalisation changes, the definition and comprehension of which primarily have economic, social, political, ecological, technological and technogenic relations at their head. The high level of political, technological and scientific developments has an intense impact on the formation and development of the individual and the individual as a fundamental component of society and the world as a whole, pointing to the necessity and the negative effects of globalisation processes. Without drawing attention to the primary relevance of Dario Salas Sommer's writings in the mid and in the end of the 20th century, his insights into modern society are considered by scholars of the present and in the article; they can be transposed to the realities of the present, highlighting the moral principles of society, emphasising its material, cultural and spiritual-moral egoism. The concept of "entelechy" is analysed and interpreted in relation to Aristotle's philosophy. The relationship between the philosophical meaning of entelechy and its pedagogical use is established. Entelechy is not only what drives the form, not only the essence of an object or phenomenon, but it must be understood with a weighty component of the activity of its connotation, which in the framework of art and aesthetic education is not only the basis and principles of knowledge, concepts and notions, but also an active engine and implementer of the goals of education by means of art – the formation of artistic and aesthetic potential, power and energy of a highly moral person, capable of further self-development and better changes in society; development of inner world of a person, its aesthetic consciousness; a cultural, moral and spiritual awakening.
