The article is devoted to the study of the peculiarities of the formation of responsibility as a component of the professional competence of future teachers in higher education institutions. The author substantiated the importance and meaning of responsibility in the structure of personal and professional qualities of a teacher, who has a direct impact on the quality of the educational process and the quality of education students receive. The key aspects affecting the formation of responsibility, such as personal characteristics (skills, qualities), professional training, moral and ethical standards are considered in the article. The article examines the etymology of the term "responsibility". The essence of the concept is explained, the main theories of the phenomenon of "responsibility" and the theoretical foundations of responsibility as a component of the professional competence of future teachers are analyzed. The author researched the structure of the teacher's professional responsibility and highlighted the main aspects of professional responsibility.
According to the results of an experimental study of the level of formation of the responsibility in the future teacher, the author proposed practical recommendations on how to form responsibility in future teachers in a higher education institution.
The problem considered in the article prompts awareness of the importance of responsibility in the teaching profession. The offered practical methods and strategies for the effective formation of this competence in future teachers can contribute to improving the quality of education, training and professional development of future specialists.
