Abstract

The article considers the concept of language stability as a feature of individual and collective language behavior, important for maintaining the stability of the national language in the bilingual situation of our country.

Actualization of the issue of language stability of future philologists in the Russian-Ukrainian bilingualism of the eastern region of the country is due to the main purpose of teaching the native language in high school, which will be implemented by young professionals - to form a nationally conscious, spiritually rich linguistic personality. native language in all types of speech activity, i.e. to ensure the appropriate level of communicative competence.

The analysis of linguistic studies showed that so far there is no generally accepted, expressive and clear definition of the studied concept of language stability. In linguodidactics, this problem is considered in terms of the formation of national-language / language / speech personality in terms of implementing a competency-based approach to learning the Ukrainian language. Linguists draw attention to the need to develop language stability, especially in higher education, which will help solve the problem that arises where the processes of language assimilation threaten the existence of the national language. The reorientation of this bilingualism to the gradual growth of groups of situational bilinguals at the expense of Russian monolinguals with the further formation and expansion of Ukrainian-speaking environments will give the language development of Ukraine the opposite direction, and higher education should occupy one of the key places in this process.

Linguistic stability is a characteristic feature of communicative behavior of a linguistic personality, as language is a construct of one's own identity, an internal factor of a citizen's position on his nationality. In the process of studying linguistic disciplines, future philologists join the indirect correlation with the Ukrainian community, constructing through language the national identity that appears to a person during the formation of national self-consciousness.
