FEATURES OF USING ART THERAPY BY PSYCHOLOGISTS AS A MEANS OF CORRECTIVE AND DEVELOPMENTAL INFLUENCE IN WORKING WITH CHILDREN WITH SPECIAL EDUCATIONAL NEEDS

Abstract

The article substantiates the importance of using art therapy in the work of psychologists with children with special educational needs. An analysis of the literature was carried out, which considers the importance of art therapy, as one of the most effective methods, which combines creativity and various artistic techniques. Scientists who research art therapy have been identified. The concepts and tasks of art therapy as a direction that mobilizes the creative potential of the individual and internal mechanisms of self-regulation, new resources and opportunities are analyzed. The specifics of the application of methods and elements of art therapy by psychologists in their activities were studied, in particular: clay therapy, as a direction aimed at actualizing the dynamics of the child's inner world with the help of clay; drama therapy, as a direction that uses the power of theater art as a strategy for revealing the inner world of an individual; isotherapy, as a direction that uses methods of fine art to normalize the mental state of children; fairy-tale therapy, as a direction in which fictional stories, i.e., fairy tales, are used to achieve the expected result; collage, as a technique in the fine arts, in which the pasting of materials that differ from it in color and texture is used on some basis; doll therapy, as a direction based on the processes of identification of a child with a favorite character of a cartoon, a fairy tale, and with a favorite toy; mandala therapy, a direction that reflects your "I", conscious and unconscious; mask therapy, as a direction based on bringing the inner deep state of a person to the surface with the help of a mask; music therapy, as a direction that uses music as a means of correction; sand therapy, as a direction that involves interaction with sand. The corrective and developmental impact of art therapy technologies in the work of psychologists in an inclusive environment with the formation of positive changes is described.
