SPIRITUAL AWAKENING OF YOUTH IN THE SYSTEM OF NATIONAL PATRIOTIC EDUCATION

The article is devoted to revealing the peculiarities of the spiritual awakening of youth in the system of national-patriotic education. The authors clarified the modern approaches to the national-patriotic education of schoolchildren, analysed the scientific views on the problem of spiritual awakening in diachronic and synchronic aspects. Studying the source, it is proved the necessity of strengthening national-patriotic education, the introduction into modern school the practice of systematic educational practices and approaches aimed at the spiritual awakening of high school students with the goal of forming a conscious civic position, stable Ukrainian-centric views and beliefs, and a responsible attitude towards performance in the future of their own responsibilities regarding the protection of the territorial integrity and independence of the Ukrainian state.
The author’s interpretation of spiritual awakening as a process of self-actualization of the individual, awareness of one’s own significance and demand for improvement of the surrounding reality, implementation of positive transformations in various spheres of personal and socially useful life activities is presented. The logic of spiritual awakening, which consists of the unity and sequence of stages of personal manifestation (emotional-sensual reactions, intellectual perception and understanding, volitional control, praxeological embodiment) is defined. The objective and subjective factors of the spiritual awakening of youth in the system of national-patriotic education are determined.
