Abstract

The article offers a historical and genetic analysis of the foreign experience of aesthetic education of personality by means of music, identification of prerequisites for the development of music education in different historical periods

It is emphasized that in the modern world, more and more attention is focused on the aesthetic education of a person who will understand the beauty of the surrounding world, the culture of different peoples, appreciate the creative achievements of the past and develop the creativity of young people.

It is emphasized that music, and in particular singing, has been an integral element of human life since ancient times, as evidenced by rock paintings of primitive man, ancient bas-reliefs and paintings, historical facts, and ancient monuments of music culture.

The author of the article notes that outstanding representatives of humanity of different historical periods were aware that music art as an integral component of the spiritual culture of society has a significant influence on the inner world of the individual, is an important means of forming human individuality, its spiritual improvement, and an important factor in the development of the entire society.
