The article deals with conceptual foundations for professional training of future teachers. Attention is drawn to a number of contradictions between collective nature of education and a need to ensure individual development of future professionals at the stage of professional training in higher education. Modern approaches to forming professional competence as a complex characteristic of a future teacher, which has certain specifics in terms of content and organization, are analyzed. The specifics of organizing educational process in the system of vocational education through the choice of profession in accordance with personal and individual traits, ensuring the quality of development, achieving high levels of professionalism and psychological support of professional development. The integral system of practice-oriented measures of optimizing professional training is shown, namely: joint teacher-students activities, organizing pedagogical support of students, designing training purposes, education, creating a unified educational space, external and internal differentiation of system of professional training, variability of the system of evaluating educational results. The professional training of future teachers on individual educational trajectories is characterized as a process of updating and increasing the individual potential of each student in forming professional competence, assisting technology mastering, planning and managing the operational structure of educational activities, mastering creative adaptation to content and structure of professions through internalizing special knowledge, skills, and abilities.
