Abstract

The article reveals the problem of forming the research competence of future preschool teachers as a component of their professional preparation for scientific work. It is noted that for the training of future preschool teachers it is important to develop skills of professional and scientific activity, as it opens up the possibility of using research teaching methods and contributes to the deepening of the professional orientation of education through the analysis of current problem situations and forms independence, initiative and creative thinking. The research competence of preschool teacher is defined as a set of motivations, knowledge, skills, abilities and personal qualities that ensure the successful implementation of all stages of innovative professional activity, from modeling and forecasting to the introduction of innovations in the field of preschool education. The aspects that contribute to the formation of research competence are identified, in particular, identifying and formulating the problem, defining research objectives; argumentation of the relevance, novelty and significance of research tasks; development of hypotheses and drawing up a research plan; development and application of new research methods, expanding knowledge; conducting research and presenting work results. To solve the problems of forming research competence, it is proposed to introduce separate didactic units in the educational components «Fundamentals of Scientific and Pedagogical Research» and «Theory and Technology of Scientific and Pedagogical Research», which form future preschool teachers' research skills as a combination of intellectual knowledge and practical skills that allow students to independently observe, generalize, analyze the processes and phenomena of the surrounding reality and promote the ability to acquire new knowledge and applications.
