UKRAINIAN FOLK MUSIC IN THE ORGANIZATION OF THE KNOWLEDGE SYSTEM AMONG PRIMARY SCHOOL CHILDREN AS A WAY OF FORMING A VALUABLE ATTITUDE TO THE MOTHERLAND

The article emphasizes the importance of using Ukrainian musical folklore in the organization of the knowledge system among primary school children. The author points out the potential of musical folklore for the formation of valuable attitude to the motherland in primary school children. There is briefly presented an approximate programme of classes in Ukrainian musical folklore for primary school students, which is implemented in extracurricular activities. The subject of classes for primary school children is specified, namely «Study of Ukrainian musical folklore», «Folklore of Ukrainian nation», «Ukrainian musical folklore in the works of modern performers», «Learning to play folklore works on the flute» and «Performing activities». Emphasis is placed on the expediency of using such an effective educational technology as project in the process of involving primary school students in Ukrainian musical folklore. There is an example of the folklore project «Folk songs of my family tree (favourite Ukrainian folk songs of my family)».
One of the main forms of studying musical folklore is practical activities of primary school children (teaching children to play the flute, systematic involvement of students in ceremonial holidays, performances, concerts), which promote creative use of knowledge acquired in the real life.
It is emphasized that classes in Ukrainian music folklore help primary school children to learn more about their homeland and its traditions, feel the connection between past and present, to be proud of the heroic deeds of Ukraine’s defenders in the past and present.
It is concluded that the organization of a knowledge system in Ukrainian musical folklore has significant opportunities for building a valuable attitude to the Motherland in primary school children.
