The article describes the features of the organization of higher education in the EU, considers and analyzes the experience of teaching socio-pedagogical disciplines in Germany as a regional leader. The relevance of this study for applicants for higher education and research and teaching staff of Donbas State Pedagogical University, which has close ties with the organizers of various educational projects in Germany. The structure, basic theories and methods of teaching socio-pedagogical disciplines and their implementation in certain aspects of the domestic educational process related to accelerating the renewal of national institutions of higher education in accordance with European standards and requirements are analyzed. The latest scientific research on the problems of reforming, modernizing and internationalizing the German higher education system, as well as the need to create national standards of higher quality is analyzed. The general organizational principles of the higher education system, quantitative and qualitative composition of higher educational institutions, peculiarities of social workers training, specifics of teaching professional disciplines and organization of pre-professional, introductory, specialized and professional practice are considered. for this group of applicants. The differences and general features inherent in the educational systems of training future social workers of all German autonomous lands are characterized. The principles of training future specialists, which take place at four levels, are highlighted. It is noted that the whole educational process is focused on the formation of professional competencies, the use of innovative technologies and interactive teaching methods. The positive achievements of social and pedagogical work in Germany are determined. The prospects of experimental borrowing of elements of the educational system of Germany are emphasized.
