Abstract

The article outlines the main trends and problems of educating the young generation in modern Ukraine, which are determined and exacerbated by Russian aggression.

First, distance education has become widespread in Ukraine, which in some places has completely supplanted face-to-face education. This is a forced action and it opens up the possibility of solving the difficult issue of not suspending, but continuing the educational process, which is definitely a positive feature. However, at the same time, it opens up a number of problems that are outlined in the article.

The second trend is the adaptation of the actual educational process and the development of the adaptability of its subjects to the realities and challenges in modern Ukraine. This trend is due to both external aggression and the transition to distance learning or mixed education.

Thirdly, there is a tendency towards preventive education; readiness for education and upbringing in the family; to self-education and self-development.

Fourthly, the patriotic education of the young generation acquires special importance in the conditions of war. The family, the educational institution, the state should create the conditions and become the environments where the formation of a citizen-patriot of Ukraine, ready for challenges, ready to build the country as a sovereign, independent, democratic, legal state, takes place.

It is noted that the educational process in educational institutions of Ukraine requires rethinking, adaptation to the fleeting time, and appropriate actions for implementation taking into account the outlined trends.
