STATE POLICY REGARDING THE ORGANIZATION OF SOCIAL WORK WITH PEOPLE SUFFERING FROM DRUG ADDICTION

The article analyzes the issue of modern state support and implementation of various forms of social work with people suffering from drug addiction. Rehabilitation centers and patronage institutions, which provide assistance and support to drug addicts, have been identified. According to the direction of rehabilitation of clients, social institutions are divided into occupational therapy, therapeutic, complex care and religious institutions. Among the forms of social work with drug addicts, the following are indicated and substantiated: prevention of the use of narcotic substances (post-rehabilitation prevention); social and medical counseling; work with clients on programs of social and psychological rehabilitation, psychotherapy; patronage and support of the client after the course of medical treatment. Among the services, the following are separated: social and household, psychological, social and pedagogical, medical (healing), economic, legal, employment assistance and informational services.
It is emphasized that all the work listed above is carried out on the basis of the existence of the relevant legal framework (Laws, Institutions, Orders, etc.). A review of the legislative literature revealed the legality, logic and procedure for implementing social rehabilitation of persons suffering from drug addiction.
It was established that the state policy regarding the organization of social work with people suffering from drug addiction is aimed at the formation of scientific-theoretical, practical and methodical approaches to ensuring the development and implementation of the system of social interaction with clients. And also, in carrying out timely preventive measures regarding the use and distribution of narcotic substances in society.
