NATIVE LANGUAGE AS THE SPIRITUAL POWER OF THE PEOPLE

Abstract

The article substantiates the problems of the spiritual development of the individual through the prism of speech. Attention is focused on the importance of the concept of “native language” as the semantic dominant and the dominant of the spiritual.
The views and opinions of famous scientists about the native language, native word, about entering through the language into the society you live in, its culture are presented. The vision on the problem of the native language of scientists Ivan Ohienko, Nadezhda Babych, Yuri Shevchuk, and others are considered.
The delineated existential “mother tongue” emphasizes one of the most important features of the Ukrainian language – the connection with the bosom of birth mother, mother earth, belonging to the human race. The vision of the native language and the concept of language by blood are proposed. Speech by blood does not stand in opposition to the mother tongue, but on the contrary, emphasizes blood kinship, their interconnection, and interpenetration. The symbol of blood testifies to life creation, the commonality of origins, and the fate of the human race.
It is proved that in educational reality, language acquires special importance since it is a translator of knowledge, skills, information, professional competence, and lifestyle. It has the role of the language regulator in the formation of the future personality. Mastering the Ukrainian language by school students contributes to the involvement of the Ukrainian people in the achievements of culture, develops communication skills, the speech culture, and expands the educational space of the individual.
