The collection of scientific papers “Actual Problems of Law: Theory and Practice” was founded in November 2000, is published by Volodymyr Dahl East Ukrainian National University, and is a periodical professional scientific publication.
Certificate of Registration of the Printed Mass Information: series КВ № 15362-3934Р of 05.06.2009.
The collection of scientific papers is registered as an entity in the field of print media (media identifier R30-02218) in accordance with the decision of the National Council of Ukraine on Television and Radio Broadcasting (Protocol No. 31 dated December 21, 2023).
The collected book is included in the List of Scientific Professional Publications of Ukraine (re-registration: Order of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine № 1471 of 26.11.2020). The journal is also included in the Register of Media Entities with the assigned media identifier R30-02218 (Decision of the National Council of Ukraine on Television and Radio Broadcasting No. 1814 dated December 21, 2023).
The collected book of scientific works “Topical issues of law: theory and practice” is registered in the International Center ISSN (France, Paris), it is assigned the international scientific serial number ISSN 2218-5461 (print), 2412-4397 (online).
The collection of scientific papers “Actual Problems of Law: Theory and Practice,” published by the Faculty of Law of Volodymyr Dahl East Ukrainian National University, is indexed in the international scientometric database Index Copernicus International (Poland). Electronic access to the database: https://journals.indexcopernicus.com/. Based on the evaluation of the journal’s performance in 2024, its Index Copernicus Value (ICV) was calculated: ICV 2024 = 75.75.
The scientific journal “Topical issues of law: theory and practice” is in the Register of Scientific Professional Publications of Ukraine.
It is available on the web-site of Vernadsky National Library as: “Topical issues of law: theory and practice”.
Publication frequency: the journal is published twice a year. Language of publishing: Ukrainian, English.
The journal is included in the list of specialized scientific publications of Ukraine (Category B), in which the results of dissertation research for obtaining the scientific degrees of Doctor and Candidate of Sciences may be published in the specialties “Law” and “International Law.”
From June 1, 2026, the scientific publication “Actual Problems of Law: Theory and Practice” has been assigned to the “Law” cluster with the following specialties:
- D8 Law;
- D9 International Law.
The collection of scientific papers “Actual Problems of Law: Theory and Practice” aims to cover theoretical and practical issues of the development of the national legal system based on the rule of law in the context of Ukraine’s intensified European integration aspirations, as well as methodological and applied problems of modern legal science and the experience of implementing legal mechanisms for the protection of human rights and reforming current legislation.
The main objectives of the publication are to promote the development of national scientific potential, to publish the main scientific results of dissertations by applicants for academic degrees and research by candidates for academic titles, and to create conditions for high-quality public communication among scholars based on the principles of academic integrity, etc.
The Editorial Board supports the Budapest Open Access Initiative and operates in accordance with the Open Science Policy of Volodymyr Dahl East Ukrainian National University (details are available at this link).
